She has extensive experience working with sworn and civilian law enforcement personnel in both correctional and law enforcement agency settings. Dr. Baumgart is married to a now-retired police officer and understands firsthand the challenges that some cops face transitioning to retired life. She and her husband share their personal and professional experiences with other police officers and spouses in their Surviving Retirement training class. Dr. Baumgart continues to share her expertise with law enforcement officers, retirees, spouses, and agencies through presentations on a wide range of wellness topics that are informed by her experience, research, and clinical practice.
