Her life work has been reaching out to children and their caregivers to encourage growth toward positive goals - both academically and personally. Having experienced significant childhood trauma herself, she knows its effects can be overcome and that happiness and success in adulthood is possible. Mariah/Mary has four amazing adult children, three grandchildren, and a loving husband. She and her husband reside in the Sierra foothills of Northern California, where they raise wine grapes, Babydoll Southdown Sheep and honeybees. Mariah/Mary is committed to continuous curiosity about her world, and when not writing or enjoying their property, she can be found running on trails, competing in world marathons and travelling."
