After three weeks still discovering much of what this device can do. Love configuring different data screens for various metrics.Fantastic integration with Rally RK200 pedals, Varia RTL515, Varia UT800, dual HRM and speed sensor 2. Still figuring out which apps and data fields to use from ConnectIQ.

The 1040 computer is amazing. So many features, easy integration with power meter and heart rate monitor. Screen size, clarity, and color are incredible. My only disappointment is the battery and the solar. My last 2 hour and 20 minute ride was at peak sun intensity in Nevada on a cloudless day.

After a long ride this device usually shows between 80% to 90 charged. As such, there's no need to worry about running out of power even after 12+ hours in the saddle. Navigation isn't as good, especially with gravel as other brands of bike computers.

I only have to charge this about once a month, and I use it 5-6X per week. Love.

I like this device. It has many great features, but it also has one really annoying issue. Many times after waking my bike up, the Rally pedals will want to be calibrated. After running calibration, all the sensors disconnected from the Edge and won't reconnect until I fully power down and restart...

In short much much better battery, brighter screen much better interface. I got the Solar version, it is a bit heavier than the standard one. If you are not an endurance rider standard version battery life is more than enough for road bike but also it feels good to know you have the top version...

I have done a couple rides and it definitely helps having a larger screen (versus the 530), especially when using the map. The training features and prompts took a minute to get used to, but are very intuitive. The only con is that when I was out on a long ride using the map, it crashed.

Upgraded from a 530 and I wish I had done it sooner! Great features, came with extra mounts and a silicone case. User friendly and intuitive. As it is solar powered, the battery lasts ‘forever’ too.

1 month old and have to say it has been impressive, data screens same as my previous 830 but this no allows me more data without having it so small I can’t read, the display is super clear and rich colours in all light conditions. Very happy so far.
