I have two Echo Dot 3rd Generation speakers. One for my kitchen and one for my bedroom. I can keep up with the news, ask questions, and enjoy music while moving from one room to the other. Also programming to call for help in case of an emergency. Many great features.

You have to purchase a monthly plan to be able to play choice of artists or albums/songs. Otherwise, you can choose a station with similar music to what you want and there are ads.

Linked up to wifi fine. Looks nicer than gen 2. To my ears, the bass is a bit muddy, but we are talking about a mini speaker. I wish the labels on top were more visible, especially in the dark

As a first-time user of Echo Dot, I felt there were too many assumptions being made by the author. He would write, “Go to [category] and do...”, but he never said how to get to [category]. I thought this book was a Step-by-step Manual, but it’s just an overview of Alexa’s talents.

This was to update my first generation dot. Love the color and am happy with my purchase

Loved this so much, I purchased THREE! Set them up for turning on and off lights in all my rooms. So nice to leave the bedroom and the lights are on in the Living Room already. Highly Recommend!

When it works it does OK-Fine. However; it begins to flash a yellow-Orange ring and then doesn't want to function; i.e. Alexis doesn't respond. This goes on for a long time and then quits flashing the yellow-orange ring. At this point Alexis responds and plays the music I asked for.

Very good system but complicated sometimes ,When you ask you a question.It is quick to say I dont know that.

This book is handy to help you get up and running. I found it useful for getting up and running. My only complaint is there are several typo's in this book and more grammer errors than an Author should make. It is obvious that the book was not proof read before published.

The 3rd generation is very impressive. Better quality ,better sound ,all new features.
